World Book Day

It was lovely to celebrate World Book Day all together. We had a zoom visit from the author Chloe Inkpen who inspired us with our own story writing.
Our Mother's Day Service was done over zoom this year. The children at North Crawley School love their food but love their mums even more. They were chefs and said they loved their mums more than their favourite food. We had children loving their mums more than mash potato, banana ice cream and even an enormous chocolate cake!

Happy Diwali from all the children at North Crawley School.

The School Council decided to have a "Rainbow Day" to support Children in Need. They came dressed in bright colours in exchange for a small donation. The children made rainbow Pudseys, eye patches and biscuits. By lunch time we had raised £49.31 and by the end of the day had raised £85.71. Thank you to our council for their hard work.

We have been thinking about the meaning of poppies. We went to the War Memorial at 11 o clock to show our respect.

Have a lovely Half Term.

Village school Federation Sports Day. The children had a fantastic time with their friends from Stoke Goldington, Newton Blossomville, Sherington and St Andrews. In the morning the children participated in Team Games and individual races. After a lunchtime picnic the children could try their hand at a new sport. They chose from, tennis, netball, cricket, football and rugby.

Learning about the Reading Challenge for the Summer Holidays.

Arts and recyling Week. We decorated our own bag for life and are going to try and remember to take them shopping with us.

As part of Creative week Mrs Hoten came in to show us how to recycle books. The children made flowers and hedgehogs.

We linked our Creative Week with The School Councils idea to think carefully about our environment. They were concerened about the amount of plastic that ends up in the sea and theeffect it has on sealife.

Charity Day. We collected 20p's to see how many we could save. We collected 300. That is enough to buy 300 bars of soap for children across he world.
